Happy Windowbox Wednesday! Finished these winter arrangements just before the big snow! We are currently in a deep freeze here in Tennessee… as soon as your planters thaw out, be sure to water!

I was able to see this beautiful growth last week as we were doing maintenance check on these planters. Wow have they grown! Beautiful curb appeal and private backyard space.

These elephant ears we planted in downtown Franklin are very happy! They love the little morning sun they get.
They are sharing a home with 2 different types of coleus and begonia. Harmony ๐ธ

We are in full summer maintenance mode. These are all at a home where the client has been hard at work keeping these containers beautiful in between our visits. It’s a team effort, and it’s paying off beautifully. What a amazing space for hospitality and relaxation.

Summer container gardening is a long season with tons of growth. Be sure you are fertilizing your containers. We like to use a water soluble fertilizer. It helps keep blooms the whole season! Go to Containercreations.net for all your container gardening needs.

Good morning.. it’s finally here.. hot summer Tennessee days. Your containers need water -OFTEN! When you think you’ve watered them enough… give them a little more. Follow these tips…
1.)water in morning before sun is directly on your containers
2.) Water at the soil level and not overhead on all the flowers and foliage
3.) Water slowly until it pools at the top, then pause and let it soak in, then do it again
Let me know if you have questions or concerns about your container gardens๐๐ธ๐ชด

I can’t wait for this one to fill out. I love how the orange tropical ties in with the planters in the background at the door! Little things make such a difference… this gets full sun!

Life after the flash freeze…
Planted this just yesterday for a client..
In normal Tennessee winters(absent flash freezes which are so rare) these plants should look great all winter!
Variegated boxwood

Ivy
Few evergreen clippings and faux juniper picks

Looks like we are having an early freeze! You may want to protect the plants/flowers in your containers. If you can move to a covered area or indoors, might be a good idea. You can also find frost cloth at lowes or Home Depot to put over your planter. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about your specific planter. TN weather… quite unpredictable lately ๐ณ
One more thing… while sweet potato vine is beautiful, insects (and often larger critters) love to munch on it. It’s helpful to have insect sprays on hand to keep it looking healthy. Swipe to see pictures of eaten leaves and a few products I love to use to help with the problem. Enjoying your vines may require a little extra love ๐ธ
